Recipe of the Month :: Woof Woof Waffles

No need to waffle on this one—woof these down howl! Keep in mind, these weekly recipes are not only all natural, but they are perfect bites for you and the dog in your life to share (just use separate bowls!).

Ingredients checklist:

  • 4 cups whole-whet flour

  • 1/2 cup cornmeal

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 1 3/4 cups water

Can you say breakfast for dinner?! (And lunch and...well...breakfast!) The recipe makes 12 tail-waggin' waffles.

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Mix all ingredients together then turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead well.

  3. Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thick and cut out 8-inch squares.

  4. Place each square on a waffle iron (unplugged) and press down the dough in order to make the waffle impression.

  5. Place waffles on a greased baking sheet and bake for 1 hour.

  6. Cool, and serve each waffle broken into quarters. Store in an airtight container.

Party in the kitchen, 'cause it's Waffle Time!
