Brave Bella Needs Your Help

This is a story that needs to be shared.

Bella was brought as a stray to the Little Rock Animal Village on January 10th, and she was feeling very down. You could tell that this beautiful girl had given up—although physically she was with us, her mind and vivacity were far, far away. Staved, dehydrated, and clearly without even minumum care, she was ready to just lay down and go to sleep.

After only one week of dedicated love, as well as special diet from the Village, you could at last see the proud spark in her eyes. How amazing is that? Just one week has changed this dog forever! Bella is now running and asking for treats. Her tail (well... her cute Rottweiler nub) wags constantly.

The next step to Bella's recovery and well-being occurred today via her spay. That means that this girl will be ready to join her foster and begin her Heartworm treatment. The final step? For this survivor to find a forever home—one that ensures her health and happiness for the rest of her days.

It may seem like a lot of work for this one dog, but if you had seen the hurt in her eyes on that first day when she came to LRAV you'd agree that it will all be worth it.

The cost of all the medical care that sweet Bella needs (which includes heartworm treatment) will be almost $1,000. She's worth every penny.
